One Semester Left to Schedule!

So its time to schedule for fall 2009. I never thought this time was going to come where I was going to have my final semester of scheduling staring me in the face. After next semester I will be student teaching. I cannot believe that college has gone by so fast. Technically I still have a whole year left but I know that it will go by so much faster than the past 3 years has. I am scared for school to be over but i am very excited to start teaching!

New Job in Slippery Rock!

So today I got hired to be the head swim instructor for swim lessons in the Slippery Rock Community. I will be teaching private lessons as well as mommy and me lessons and swimming lessons levels 1-6. The lessons begin this saturday and I will be working from 8:30am-1:00pm every saturday for the next 8 weeks. I am kind of nervous about it because this is the first time that I am teaching swim lessons as the head instructor. I hope it goes well!

No more 352!

352 which is Secondary PETE Methods is a half semester class. Today was the first day that I did not have the class anymore. It is such a relief to be done with that class. I remember the first day I was terrified that I wasn't going to be able to keep up with the work and that the class was going to be too challenging for me. I am very glad that I made it through and I feel that I learned A LOT from that class. As someone put it we are "real PE majors now" which is how it feels. Overall I am happy that the class is over and I am glad that I was able to learn a lot. Bring on 452!!

Working Over Spring Break

Spring break is over and while lots of people spent their time laying on a beach getting tan or exploring different countries i returned home to pittsburgh and went back to work. I work at an elementary school in Fox Chapel School District. I work for the YMCA and I do morning and after school care. While i would have loved to spend my time on the beach getting tan I also love my job and had a blast being home working. I love the children that I work with and I miss them when I am away at school. So overall I had a good spring break working with the children!
